About the Play:
Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson tells the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt.
Set between 1900 and 1920, the play explores a woman’s place in society during a time
of groundbreaking scientific and personal discoveries. With music and math bursting
forth onstage, Henrietta and her peers revolutionize our understanding of the universe.
